Hey yall! So today I will be featuring a client of mine, she is well known on the hair boards for her gorgeous lush ultra long texlaxed hair. She decided after a horrible relaxer mishap to go natural once and for all, and she came to me to get her hair loc’d! At first we thought we’d be doing my temporary loc extensions on her, so the pictures where her hair looked brand new and you can see the parts are of that time, then she came back to add more locs for fullness and by that time, after living the carefree locd up lifestyle, she decided that this would be her permanent signature look, and I must say, it was a smart choice, she looks amazing! A true LocStar. Enjoy the pictures!

Hey yall! These are a set of gorgeous curly crochets done on a lady doctor client who wanted a protective style that looked like her natural curly texture. She seems plucked out of a medical drama….she’s so darn pretty! Beauty, Brains and a fellow Haitian! It was a pleasure to meet her and the result blew even me away. This was done with freetress water wave hair in color 1b/2.
Let me know what you think!

I’m so proud of these Afro extensions I did on a beautiful young lady. She had a beautiful mini fro (we’re texture twins) and per her request, I simply amplified it and kicked it up a notch!
Now she’ll be able to rock her funky fro in style while all the while protecting her hair and retaining length.
Enjoy the Pics!

These are a set of loc extensions I did on a client using human hair. I now understand why human hair is the GOLD standard in Loc extensions!
It cut my styling time by 50%, although all sets I’ve done regardless of hair used have been super realistic the result brought the realism to a new level and matched the clients hair to a tee. Additionally, the feel of it was the absolute best!
This client went from relaxed to loc’d
Anyhow here are the pix…enjoy!

I’ve cut out the Blow-drying step. Now I put my detangled hair in 10-12 tight braids, band the roots using those fuzzy elastics we used to wear as little girls, allow to air-dry, once dry, tiny section by tiny section I flat iron employing the comb chase method.
I feel this is less drying, you’re exposing your hair to less heat and it gets just as straight. I’m really happy with this newer gentler approach and it will be my default method of straightening from here on in.
Oh, and it eliminated the “burnt pressed hair” smell altogether!! That was GREAT!

So I did my new straightening technique and my hair was perfectly straight leaving the house but the humidity had plans of its own so my hair reverted a bit during the day.
My new go-to for reverted pressed hair? Flexi Rods! Put those sucka’s in (taught to tight) over night or even for a full day and I PROMISE you your hair will go right back to silky and front like nothin ever happened lol its great. All I used was extra virgin coconut oil.
(Put more rods then pictured here….put 10 ideally)

These are pics immediately after taking the flexi rods out

This is when it had a chance to loosen
I. LOVE. IT.

Welcome to my bold, colorful Sabina Karlsson inspired look!
I absolutely adore it and will be returning to this look regularly. I blowdried my hair throughly on hot and high and braided my hair down in this pattern:

Fluffed each piece out and attached the hair and Voila!

I used Marley braid hair. On myself I simply did them as crochet braids….on someone else I would do a combination of tree braids along the hair line and crochet in the rest.
The maintenance is almost non-existent with this style, I clip it up when I’m going into the shower (no shower cap) and I just lift one side lay my head down and go to sleep at night (no scarf).
At first it was a bit of a shock because I didn’t expect it to come out so light. But I grew to appreciate it. When I went to the city on Monday all I got were rave reviews, men showering compliments and questions on just how I pulled this off.
I really feel like this may be “my color” and I will go for this color combo with my real hair in the near future.
Let me know what you think about the color, the shape the size….anything! Thanks for reading guys.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share some of my latest work. This time we used freetress bohemian curl hair in 4/30. She wanted it shorter so I did this beautiful layered curly fro look for her which she loved. The copper highlights looked absolutely stunning on her we couldn’t be happier with the results.
Anywhoo here are the pix! lemme know what you think! I just ADORE the layers.

This is a recent style I did for a beautiful young lady named Natalie. Curly Crochet braids….we did them Waist Length for her.
I didn’t take a pic of my braiding pattern but it was essentially the same way you’d braid hair for a weave…I made sure all her hair was braided down so it would have a beautiful smooth look to it. Here are the pix…enjoy!
