Meet another fabulous Md. client of mine, we’ll call her Dr.Fab! She chose to have me do crochet braids for her, once they were in, she opted to add her own spice to the look via an angular bob cut, it was the best decision ever, not surprising she’s a smart lady
Take a looksie! Love this style, and love this cut!

Hey yall! These are a set of gorgeous curly crochets done on a lady doctor client who wanted a protective style that looked like her natural curly texture. She seems plucked out of a medical drama….she’s so darn pretty! Beauty, Brains and a fellow Haitian! It was a pleasure to meet her and the result blew even me away. This was done with freetress water wave hair in color 1b/2.
Let me know what you think!

I’m so proud of these Afro extensions I did on a beautiful young lady. She had a beautiful mini fro (we’re texture twins) and per her request, I simply amplified it and kicked it up a notch!
Now she’ll be able to rock her funky fro in style while all the while protecting her hair and retaining length.
Enjoy the Pics!

Hey all! So my regimen has significantly changed to ensure I stay ahead of the curve in terms of hair health. When my hair was virgin my regimen was super basic and my hair didn’t require much. To be frank I DC’d when the wind struck me and pretty much did whatever I wanted lol….but now I’ve stepped my game up to be sure that I still reach all my health and length goals color and all. So here is my new reggie:
- I co-wash much more and shampoo much less. I plan to shampoo maybe once a month or month and a half. I co-wash with Trader Joe’s Nourishspa.
- I make it my business to DC thoroughly with every wash. Its usually Lekair Shea Butter cholesterol with possibly some oil thrown in like olive oil. (I’m gonna start diversifying my moisture DC’s, I know yall tired a hearin bout LeKair lmao)
- I’m going to start a “student on a budget version of steaming” as well (dont worry I’ll post about it loves
)
- I’ve already begun doing hardcore protien treatments every 6 weeks with Aphogee 2-step.
- If I straighten now, I use my new technique of air-drying in braids prior and eliminate the blow-drying step altogether and only flat iron…this has made a tremendous difference in reducing heat exposure and avoiding that burnt smell you get from having several forms of heat exposure to your hair.
- I’m going to begin doing clear rinses every month to seal the cuticle of my hair and encourage it to lay back down so that it retains moisture that much better.
- My hair is doing really well and feels strong and moisturized most times. As long as I stay on my p’s and q’s I think everything will go well with my hair.
Hope that helped!

I’ve cut out the Blow-drying step. Now I put my detangled hair in 10-12 tight braids, band the roots using those fuzzy elastics we used to wear as little girls, allow to air-dry, once dry, tiny section by tiny section I flat iron employing the comb chase method.
I feel this is less drying, you’re exposing your hair to less heat and it gets just as straight. I’m really happy with this newer gentler approach and it will be my default method of straightening from here on in.
Oh, and it eliminated the “burnt pressed hair” smell altogether!! That was GREAT!

So I did my new straightening technique and my hair was perfectly straight leaving the house but the humidity had plans of its own so my hair reverted a bit during the day.
My new go-to for reverted pressed hair? Flexi Rods! Put those sucka’s in (taught to tight) over night or even for a full day and I PROMISE you your hair will go right back to silky and front like nothin ever happened lol its great. All I used was extra virgin coconut oil.
(Put more rods then pictured here….put 10 ideally)

These are pics immediately after taking the flexi rods out

This is when it had a chance to loosen
I. LOVE. IT.
