Human Hair Shoulder Length Stunning Loc Extensions

These are a set of loc extensions I did on a client using human hair. I now understand why human hair is the GOLD standard in Loc extensions!

It cut my styling time by 50%, although all sets I’ve done regardless of hair used have been super realistic the result brought the realism to a new level and matched the clients hair to a tee. Additionally, the feel of it was the absolute best!

This client went from relaxed to loc’d πŸ™‚ Anyhow here are the pix…enjoy!

Are you going to do a tutorial on this style? I am interested in getting this done, but would I be able to adequately moisturize the length of my hair even though it’s covered by the extensions? Wouldn’t the hair form a barrier around the clients hair?

That is DEFINITELY in the works

Yes you absolutely would, when this is done with synthetic hair all the leave-in spritzes and conditioner sprays you use on your hair go straight to the natural hair. With the human hair the only difference I could imagine is that you’d probably have to use a bit more product to make sure that your natural hair is getting adequate moisture but its not a huge difference.

I recently took down my friends loc extensions to give her a fresh set and her hair felt like butter from all the leave-in sprites and oils she had been applying…..the synthetic hair absorbed none of it and all of it went straight to her hair. It was an excellent break and protective style for her.

Wouldn’t the hair form a barrier around the clients hair?

It forms a barrier from the elements but not a barrier from the conditioners you apply.

Hi there. I have been following your blog for quite a while now. I had a couple of questions. How much are the loc extensions? Who would you recommend make them permanent? If not, how would you take them loose? What kind of maintenance is required? It’s a style I toyed with getting for years, but never had to courage to do it, and I was too nervous it would get messed up or I wouldn’t take care of it right or it would thin out. I live in Northern NJ so getting to NYC is not a problem for me. Thank you in advance.

    Thanks!

Hey there! I came across your blog sometime ago when I was looking up loc extensions. You do an amazing job with them and the other hairstyles you’ve done.
I live in Miami and I want to get temporary loc extensions done but I’ve only come across permanent ones. No bueno so I was wondering if you could let me know how you do the temporary loc extensions.

I would be so grateful! Thanks =)

This makes me look at locs in a totally different way! If I could have my locs look like that right away, I would totally do them. What a way to do a temp protictive style or are these permanent?

  10. faith

I am actually interested in the temporary loc extension. my hair is bout 1 -1 1/2 long and i would like the extensions pass my shoulders. I would like to know how much would it cost?

  11. Caz The Spaz

    You are amazing!! You’re just what I was looking for! How much are natural vs synthetic (afro kinky) loc extensions? How much do you charge to put them in? My hair is NAPPY, but from the photos I’ve seen, I definitely will be coming to you for services. ;}

I am interested in getting permanent loc extensions. Can you recommend anyone in Detroit, MI who is skilled styling permanent loc extensions?

What texture of hair is used for loc extentions? My hair is gray; I generally use color #51 when getting extensions. #51 can be difficult to find in longer lengths human hair. Can synthetic yaky be substituted.

Thank you for your time, assistance and prompt response. SMA

I currently have a set of synthetic loc extensions that i did myself and was wondering how long i could keep them in without my natural hair locking into it ? would december be too long or do you recommend i do another set around sept/oct ?

    1. Bryan

Your natural hair will lock into the extentions depending on the process and your hair texture within a month. -he sameway cornrollss begin to look matted if you keep them in for more than two weeks, your natural hair will follow the same process with. Lock extentions. Better safe then sorry if you don’t want permanent locks. I have naturally soft and curly hair do to my mixed heritage which is why I had to get lock extentions because my normal soft curly hair would not lock as fast as I wanted it to. After one month of lock extensions, I tried to cut the tip and unwrap one and my air was already partually locked.

  21. Bryan

Hey, how are you. I’m wondering how much do you charge for lock extentions? Γ· have them already but I want to extend the length to four inches or so. Not that much because my locks are already grown to chest length naturally. And also, how much do you charge for a root rapping(rapping the roots with human hair to retighten?) My hair stylist is charging way to much and I simply cannot offord this lady on my small part time income. My first stylist price was perfect! But he moved his business to jersey to get more demand. :o(
